POLARIS EXPERIENTIAL KAP TRAINING Practicum Retreat is a five-day in-person, introductory experiential training in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy., November 7-11. These retreats are crafted to put didactic learning into practice. I'll be guiding our sound journey integration Friday evening, Nov 8th.
Designed to provide physicians, psychologists, therapists, nurses, chaplains, and healthcare professionals with principles and procedures of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in a clinical setting. Participants will develop a deep understanding of the entirety of the KAP protocol–including intake, preparation, treatment, and integration, as well as working with the medicine. A variety of modalities are also included in the preparation and integration process, such as movement, sound, meditation, expressive arts, aromatherapy, as well as inquiry groups, journaling and group process.
Join us for an immersive training practicum retreat, where you will:
Build upon the training from the modules and develop and strengthen clinical skills through intensive didactic and experiential training
Increase familiarity with intake, preparation, set and setting, safety monitoring, non-ordinary states of consciousness (NOSC), and trust in the inner organic healing intelligence
Learn through direct experience about the medical, biological, psychological, transpersonal, and phenomenological aspects of the ketamine experience
Integrate experiences in small and large group settings as well as cultivate several forms of nonverbal integration processes through the use of music, art therapy, movement/dance, writing, meditation, and other practices
Expand community and develop group cohesion within a small cohort
Engage in short didactics, case presentations, and Q /A sessions
Further develop informed and responsible practices around therapeutic use
Offered in collaboration with Rainfall Medicine.
The training program is led by Polaris lead trainers and guest trainers, many of whom have been the lead researchers on, and providers of, psychedelic or ketamine treatment for a variety of populations.
