Engaged practiceS with listening, breath, OUR voice
are accessible, profound tools.

Sound and music connect us directly to our
inner world, our divine nature,
—our natural state of being
that is centered, expansive, dynamic & present.

Science has now proven the vast impacts of sound and music, and as well as showing that meditation practice produces not only elevated states of awareness, but elevated resilience, neuroplasticity, creativity, and increased gray-matter density—important for learning, memory, compassion and introspection (Harvard 8-week study).

Studies also show that meditation with Himalayan singing bowls reduces stress, fatigue, anger, depression, as well as blood pressure and heart rate more than silent meditation alone, and particularly for new practitioners.

Indigenous cultures have long understood the power of sound as medicine through song, dance, ritual and trance experiences. Toning, chanting, and deep listening practices can rewire the brain, and rebalance body, mind, and emotions—as well as re-mapping the nervous system.

Through simple practices, we can discover how sound and listening can a literally transform space and experience —inner and outer— both physically, energetically, and psychologically.

LOKAH

Lokah is the first single release of the upcoming work Altar. Enter a sonic dreamscape— cosmic and intimate. A sonic journey weaving etherial singing, layered with world procession and shamanic influences.

The arrangement of this manta, Lokah Samasta Sukino Bavantu, emerged as channeled melodies, a deep call for peace and freedom. Cypress’ signature vocals evoke a nuanced blend of enrapturing melody, dynamic musicality, and healing resonance. Co-produced with Robb Torres, guest percussionist Joss Jaffe; mastered at Capitol Records.

adi shakti

Adi Shakti is the second single. Enter an eight minute musical journey of transcendent harmonies, percussion and sonic texture. My arrangement of this Sanskrit mantra parallels the path of primal divine feminine energy developing into being. Shakti's embodiments of strength, power, love, and protectiveness— emerge from the most primal aspects into more subtle, refined forms. Shakti’s vast expressiveness and cyclical evolution are expressed through the deliberate build and pacing, rhythmic development, and layered instrumentation. This mantra’s rendition was deeply influence by channelled medicine melodies, and plant medicine journeywork.
